Bill Gates leaves Microsoft permanently and devoted to charity

Bill Gates, one of the founders of Microsoft Corporation, announced that he will step down from the company’s board of directors so that he can devote himself to following up on his charitable projects and activities.

Gates, a billionaire who ranks among the world’s richest elites, said he wants to focus on activities related to global health, development, education and climate change.

Gates, 65, also left his seat on the board of Berkshire Hathaway Holding, headed by renowned investor Warren Buffett.

Gates resigned from his position as Microsoft’s CEO in 2008, contenting himself with the non-CEO position of its board of directors.
